New Eczema and Psoriasis Cream.
With Marshmallow, Elderberry and More. AustL 196727120g

Many people rely and trust our original Eczema and Psoriasis Cream and so we would not want to stop making it for them. We would surely be in a lot of trouble if we changed it.

However, we have kept researching how to further improve a product for Eczema and Psoriasis. We have included extra anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal actives which help to stabelise the cream.

Our original cream has proven itself over many years, our new version, in theory, should work even better. Perhaps read through the ingredients to make your choice.

Both versions of our cream are designed to help bring relief for:

  • Eczema and Dermatitis.
  • Infant Eczema.
  • Psoriasis.
  • Seborrheic Dermatitis.
  • Fungal and Yeast Based Skin Conditions

This balm can be followed by the MSM Soothing Cream moisturiser which is designed to keep easily irritated skin moist and supple.

Directions: Apply cream topically as required to keep skin moist and healthy.

ALWAYS READ THE LABEL. USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST SEE YOUR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL. WE RECCOMEND PATCH TESTING THIS PRODUCT.

Active Ingredient

Description

Marshamallow Root Extract. (Althaea officinalis)

No we aren't putting fluffy treats into our new Eczema Balm. Marshmallow is an African plant that has been used medicinally for around 2000 years. Marshmallow extract contains flavanoids, which contain anti-inflammatory properties. The extracts could also help remove dead skin tissue.

Elderberry Extract (Sambucus nigra extract)

"Elderberry Salves" and ointments have again been used for centuries as a home remedy for Eczema, particularly in Europe. Like many home remedies (but not all), scientists have since narrowed down why Elderberry extract is so effective. The tannins and viburnic acid in elderberries provide its anti-inflammatory properties. The tannins and Undeclylenic Acid also helps prevent bacteria which can easily infect the broken skin of eczema.

Raw Coconut Oil

Raw Coconut Oil is definitely not something we discovered as a way of helping soothe eczema. It is good, but on its own a bit greasy and uncomfortable. In a cream it is perfect. It is the Medium Chain Fatty Acids that give Raw Coconut Oil its soothing and anti-fungal properties.

Calendula Flower Extract

Although Calendula is a great cream,  We believe a cream needs more than just calendula. So we use a special concentrated extract of Calndula Flower in combination with all the other soothing actives.

Centella Asiatica Extract

Centella Asiaitica has been shown to help promote wound recovery . That is what everyone wants with Eczema..."Just make it go ASAP"! We have used Centella Asiaitica in our original Eczema Balm for years with some visible results.

Excipient Ingredient

Description

Aloe Vera Juice Concentrate

If you haven't heard of the benefits of Aloe Vera on skin soothing than you must be new to all of this. Aloe is a beautiful plant that brings relief to inflamed skin. In order to get all the benefits of Aloe when there is only so much room in our cream, we have use a very concentrated form of the juice.

Bisabolol (German Chamomile Essential Oil)

We love German Chamomile for soothing irritated skin. We have used it in the original Eczema Balm for years. The problem we have is that we have more actives in our new Eczema Balm, so there is less room. We could just add a token amount, but we feel our cream really needs a lot to be most effective. To solve this problem we are using Bisabolol which is the concentrated form of German Chamomile. A bit more expensive, but worth it.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet Almond Oil is one of the best oils for irritated skin due to its fatty acid profile. It is incredibly soothing. Incidentally, people and children with nut allergies are usually allergic to the protein in some nuts, not the oils. So Sweet Almond Oil should be fine for people with allergies. However we do also have the Nut Oil Free Soothing Cream. (All natural products should be patch tested for allergies of course).

Olive Oil

Another very moisturising oil. It would be "too much" by itself, but as part of an emulsion it gives a boost to its moisturusing abaility.

Olive Squalane

One of our favourite moisturising oils. As every Eczema and Psoriasis suffere knows, irritated skin gets very dry. Squalane is one of the major parts of the skin's own oils. It just so happens that it can also be extracted from Olives. Since Olive squalene's composition is very similar to human sebum, it can penetrate our skin very quickly to help our skin to fight dryness

Water and Emulsifying Wax

If we used only oils and actives, the cream would feel hot on the skin as the oils coat the skin and it becomes an occlusive. By making this cream with water, the cream penetrates the skin better, is more moisturising, and also feels more soothing and cooling.

Natural Vitamin E (D-Alpha-Tocopherol)

We use natural Vitamin E in our cream. This helps to hydrate the skin as well as keeping the cream from going rancid.

Piroctone Olamine

Piroctone Olamine has an anti-yeast and anti-bacterial property so we use this ingredient to keep the cream stable so as not to infect broken skin.

Allantoin

Comfrey has long been associated with soft, healthy skin. Allantoin is a skin conditioner that has been purified from comfrey. Allantoin is thought to help maintain healthy skin by encouraging the removal of dead skin cells. it is also promoted for preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting in skin repair.

Hops Extract (Humulus Lupulus Extract)

Who wants to be putting Parabens, Benzoates or formadehyde donours on children's skin? As you can see from the rest of our ingredients, we try and use edible ingredients whereever we can. This is one of our innovations. (Note: Hops are not alcoholic. They are used to make beer, but they are not fermented in our creams but the fresh extract).

There are lots more reviews about our creams here. Some are below.

I just wanted to drop you a quick but heartfelt thank you for your wonderful product Moogoo Eczema and Psoriasis Balm. I have always been blessed with good skin but the last 4 years I have suffered terribly with Psoriasis all around my eyes. I have tried MANY products with no success and rely on cortisone cream and sticky heavy-duty moisturiser. Last weekend I was in so much pain and itching with my eyelids bleeding and the surrounding area looking like alligator skin and plaguing and flaking that I got up in the middle of the night and went driving for a 24 hour chemist. I found one but they didn't stock the cream that I had been researching to try next. They did, however stock Moogoo. The assistant assured me that she had been hearing of really good results with this brand. I was very skeptical but as the price was so reasonable I thought it was better than nothing.

No stinging! And it was so light that after a minute you couldn't even feel you had applied cream. Well, within my cuts had healed and the plaguing had reduced by . It has now been and my psoriasis has disappeared and my skin has returned to baby's bottom smoothness. My only disappointment was that I didn't take before and after photos to prove it. I've been singing your product's praises to everyone I know and searching your website for my next purchase. Maybe the Full Cream I think. Love your work!
