Product Description

It is packaged in a 120ml tube and a 270g pump bottle.
A natural  moisturiser for Cradle Cap in Babies or Seborrheic Dermatitis in Adults.

Many people, including babies, are troubled by skin that becomes red, dry and sometimes itchy around the scalp, hairline, neck, ears, eye areas, and along the side of the nose and mouth. These are oily areas of the skin and sometimes yeast on the skin can become more prevalent and cause irritation. This version of our moisturising cream helps return the skin to a healthy condition. Like all our creams, it is safe and non-irritating and can be used anywhere on the body. MooGoo Scalp Cream can also be used as a general moisturiser.

Description

Olive Oil 45 mg/g

Another very moisturising oil. It would be "too much" by itself, but as part of an emulsion it gives a boost to its moisturusing abaility.

Coconut Oil 40 mg/g

Raw Coconut Oil is definitely not something we discovered as a way of helping soothe eczema. It is good, but on its own a bit greasy and uncomfortable. In a cream it is perfect. It is the Medium Chain Fatty Acids that give Raw Coconut Oil its soothing and anti-fungal properties.

Description

Aqua

When we were told that we have to call our purified water Aqua we thought they were kidding. But we cant fight bureaucracy. So we arent trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water Aqua sometimes.

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil

High in the types of fatty acids needed for troubled skin.

Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax)

Helps to moisturise skin. To hold water and oils together, they need an emulsifying wax, so we use a plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together.

Squalene (Olive)

One of our favourite moisturising oils. It helps leave your skin moisturised and dewy. It is good for all skin types, including acne prone skin.
Our body produces a small amount of squalene, but the amount diminishes when we get older, starting in our twenties. Squalene is required for our skin to keep it moisturised and to help fight  against aging. It is also a unique antioxidant from olives that protects our skin from free-radical damages.
Since Olive squalene's composition is very similar to human sebum, it can penetrate our skin very quickly to help our skin to fight dryness. It enhances skin elasticity and moisture retention.

Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E)

We use natural Vitamin E in our creams. Vitamin E has antioxidant action as well as free radical scavenger properties. This helps to keep the oils fresh within the cream.

Piroctone Olamine

Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient that we use to keep the cream stable and free from spoilage.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera)

Aloe Vera. Most people already know the soothing benefits of Aloe Vera. We loved it before we made skin care, and we love it in our creams.

Polysorbate 60 (Food Grade Emulsifier)

We always choose the most edible ingredients we can. Polysorbates are used in a lot of foods like Mayonnaise, Ice-cream etc to hold the cream and water together. We use them to help with the same thing.

Allantoin

Comfrey Root has long been associated with soft, healthy skin. Allantoin is thought to help maintain healthy skin by encoraging the removal of dead skin cells. It is also promoted for preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting in skin repair.

Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract

Cosmetic creams need to stay pure from yeast and mould. That is why ingredients like Parabens etc are used by a lot of companies. These work great at achieving their aim. We worked for over a year to develop a preservation system based on Hop Extract. All our creams have now been checked for preservative efficacy using the British Pharmacopeia test. We are very proud that we are probably one of the first companies to develop this natural and edible anti-bacterial system into our creams.

Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil

We use a small amount of Tea Tree Oil in our Scalp Cream for freshness and to help lossen the dead skin and flakes.

Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil

We use natural Lavender Oil. Lavender Oil can be very beneficial for helping blemished skin. Like teatree oil, it helps with freshness and lifting and removal of flakes.

Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil

A calming and soothing oil for the skin when diluted.

Thank you. When my bub was 2 months old she developed cradle cap so after reading some forums I went out and bought some moo goo scalp cream. It worked a treat and within the cradle cap was gone....AWESOME!!

Then in the weeks following, a number of new mums talked about baby's dry skin and cradle cap and that nothing was getting rid of it. When I mentioned that I had used Moo Goo Scalp Cream, they each went and bought some and had the same experience as me with it working within one or two applications. Thank you from so many of us in my mothers group and friends with babies. :-)
